EKWEREMADU WRITES UN, EU AND OTHER INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATIONS: NIGERIAN DEMOCRACY IS IN GRAVE DANGER
Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has taken the alleged forgery case brought against him, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and two others outside the shores of Nigeria.
In a letter to the United Nations (UN), United States Congress,
European Union (EU), and other international organisations, titled: “Re:
Trumped Up Charges Against the Presiding Officers of the 8th Senate:
Nigerian Democracy is in Grave Danger,” Ekweremadu said that there is a
clear attempt to silence him as the leader and highest ranking member of
the opposition party – People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He said that the federal government “politically generated” the names
for trial, noting that there was no where in the police report where
any of their names were mentioned.

BUHARI'S CERTIFICATE SAGA : COURT SUSPENDS HEARING INDEFINITLY
Yesterday, Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court
Abuja, okayed an indefinite adjournment on a suit filed by Legal practitioner,
Mr Nnamdi Nwokocha-Ahaaiwe, challenging the educational qualification of President
Muhammadu Buhari. President Buhari had engaged a consortium of lawyers,
comprising of 13 Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SANS, to defend him both at the
high court and the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal headed by Chief Wole
Olanipekun, SAN.

CBN- NAIRA TO GAIN VALUE WITH NEW FX FRAME WORK
Yesterday, the Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria addressed the flexible exchange rate market with the unveiling of the Framework for Re-introduction of Managed Float Exchange Rate System.
